OKC redux...

Hello Everyone!

I'm finally back in bloggy land. I am actually going to dinner tonight with some fabulous Denver bloggers, and I'm really looking forward to it. These ladies are hilarious with a capital H and we're eating at India House which is supposed to be SUPER good.

So, to catch you up... OKC was good. We met our realtor (Heather - she's so sweet and really gets what we like.) and she took us to probably 12 houses, plus we hit up a few open houses on our own. We didn't see anything that we wanted to jump on immediately, but we did see lots of promising choices and tons of affordable and historic neighborhoods. Having a storybook house with pointy roof (my DREAM) is looking like a definite possibility. The tricky thing will be finding one with the right space for our special needs. We've got our fingers crossed.

I also got to spend some time with all the Cooper ladies at Gemma's wedding shower. It was nice to see everyone again, and Grandma Bue seemed to enjoy herself too. Gemma is such a sweetheart and so down to earth, I definitely think she and I will click once we're living in the same town. We went out to dinner with Chris & Jessica and it was so nice. They are such a great couple. I hope we find a house close to them... Jessica will be a great workout-buddy. :)

If I haven't mentioned it before, I have to say that Tim's family is pretty rad. Everyone is so nice and especially Tim's Dad, Dick. He is such an amazing person and so wise. I am excited for our kids to be able to have a close relationship with him. He took me aside at the family dinner last weekend and thanked me for bringing his son back to OKC and I think we both got a little misty. :) They have been super generous with us and have offered to let us stay in the guest house during our home search so that we don't have to try to find a rental in OKC.

When we were in town, Tim and his dad pulled the Morris Minor out of the garage and gave it a little tune up. It's a darling little car, as you can see in the photo, and really fun to drive. It's not blue anymore, it's now white with a deep red interior and just looks SO classy. Anyway, Tim's dad told him that when he moves back to town, he can have it! I'm so excited... What a fun little around town car. We meant to take it to Lake Hefner one day while we were in town, but it was just so busy, we never made it.

(That is Tim and his Dad in the car in 1980... How cute is that?!)

Anyway, I've been working my butt off today and really need to go freshen up before I go meet the bloggy girls. More later...
