Camping Adventures
I wish I had the time to tell you about our wonderful trip to the mountains, but these photos should give you a pretty good idea.

The time has come...

I am going to be pretty much out of pocket (and sort of hard to reach) until we get settled in the new place. I have tomorrow and Friday off, so we'll be finishing up some packing and trying to get as much stuff over to the new place as we can. I still need to blog about our camping trip (it was AMAZING) and post pictures of that. I'll take lots of photos in the new place just as soon as I get things unpacked. See you on the flip side.

Weekend Update
The Moving Sale was pretty successful. We made a decent amount of money, but a lot of the furniture didn't sell. Not that I blame anyone. Our furniture blows. :) I'm really looking forward to buying some actual furniture like ACTUAL grownups, instead of just taking whatever hodge-podge of furniture we can round up.
After the sale, we went out with a bunch of friends to see the USO show at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret, but it was sold out, so we ended up going to this bar down on broadway where they were having Casino Night. It was actually a LOT of fun. Tim and I managed to win some cool prizes. Oh, and I accidently kicked Alison, and smacked my head into the Ladies Room door. I'm such a SPAZ. :P
We're going camping this weekend up at Turquoise Lake, so that should be really fun. Our friend Jack will be here and we've got quite a crowd of folks heading up to the campground. I can't wait... I love getting out into the wilderness(ish) parts of Colorado.
Oh, and our house is a shambles. Boxes everywhere, etc. But it looks like we are getting the keys to the new place on the 18th, so we'll be very busy trying to get that whole thing situated. Stay tuned!

Things That Are Cool In Summer 2007:
-Grande Iced Coffee with Half & Half
No sweetener! That makes it too easy to drink...just a splash of cream and you've got a beverage that will last all morning!
-Ann Taylor Dresses
Classic cuts, fabulous fabrics... get em' on ebay or on the clearance racks.
-Amy Winehouse (music & eyeliner)
She's bad, she's bold, and she'll likely be dead before she's 27. Her music makes my sinuses hurt and the hair on my arms stand on end.
-The Soundtrack to American Graffitti
Not a single song longer than 3 minutes. Perfect for this hot weather where dancing for longer than 2 minutes 45 seconds just makes you sticky.
-Skirts.
Skirts are the new pants/shorts/capri pants. FOR EVERYONE. Banish sweaty butt syndrome, wear a skirt!
-Jessi's Magic Bullet Marg
It's hard to quibble with a drink that comes color coded, with a handle.... it's tasty and it prevents the dreaded "Condensation Slip"
-Shirley Maclaine circa 1960's
Watch the Original Ocean's 11, The Apartment, My Geisha, Irma La Douce, and Sweet Charity.... seriously all great films....
-Leaves & Grass & Birds & Butterflies
All things that I see when I look out my giant windows at work. I love that I work somewhere near nature...
-Uptown.
It's the place to be. Seriously. Everyone move there and we'll be NEIGHBORS!
-Chiffon bikini panties (By Hanes)
They aren't granny panties. They don't give panty lines, they breath, and you'll spend less time digging your undergarments out of your ass.
That's the report Folks!
p.s. Gillian wanted me to include that as far as Hotness in the Summer of 2007, she and I are also on the list. But I thought that was just UNDERSTOOD. :)

For the wives & families of freelancers:
Sometimes things can get a little stressful and crazy, but all the champagne and blow really makes up for it. ;)
"As you can imagine, this breakdown of physical harmony has not improved his disposition. That’s not to say he’s become cruel or hateful toward me. We get into the occasional fight because of an especially stressful day he’s had, but I would never have to worry about him hitting me. No, I know that as long as I have his dinner hot on the table by 6:09 and a pie baking in the oven every night and I don’t ever look him directly in the eyes and if I always refer to him as “His most grand-high chieftain, overmaster of this house,” I won’t have to worry about hiding any more cigar burns. That’s what he’s promised me and I’m reasonably certain he probably means it."
Hahahaha, this article is hilarious...
