I dressed up for work today.... and no one else did.
I made 50+ halloween cupcakes for work today.
I ate Halloween Candy for breakfast.

So, I am really proud of how well our costumes came out... Tim looked so PERFECT as Mr. Tumnus, and I think I made a pretty convincing White Witch...

IT WAS HUGE!!!!!

Last night was THE BEST party ever! I can't even tell you guys how much fun it was. Everyone stepped it up on costumes this year and it was soooo hard to choose winners. But the food, the decor, the costumes, the entertainment... Everything was AWESOME. Unfortunately I was so busy hosting I didn't really get any pictures, but everyone else did, so there will be tons of pictures to follow this one very soon.... stay tuned!

Last Night...

Tim and I's party costumes from last year got some play this year at the Annual Taxi Stew & Brew. It was a FANTASTIC party. All of my friends that I love were there, ( shout out to sexxy Charleigh, Megan, and Gillian! ) My Geisha costume was a big success, people kept touching me and asking me to bow or say something in Japanese. I did remember a few words and phrases, but couldn't recall the words for "stop touching me" or "please get me a beer". :P I tried to stay in character for a lot of the night, you know tripping around and giggling behind my fan. It was a blast... and Tim looked super sexy (again) and the Samurai Jedi.

And now it's time.... tonight is the night for our party and I have TONS to do before people show up, so I better get busy! Hope to see you all there...

Well everyone, we made it back from Vegas all in one piece, and without losing any money (in gambling anyway). We spent about $40 on poker and slots and I won about $130. We didn't really gamble very much though. We did at our hotel a little bit though, only for the free drinks and to make fun of the wacky waitress costumes.

We had an AMAZING time. I was not really that excited about going at first. I've never been to Las Vegas as an adult, and my memories of being there as a kid were a little sour. I'm still not all for Vegas and the gambling thing totally seems crazy to me. I can understand how people get carried away and I want no part of that. But the entertainment and sightseeing parts of it were awesome.

The LOVE Cirque De Soleil show was the BEST show I've ever seen. EVER. I can't even begin to tell you about the awesome production value and creativity and just overwhelming beauty of that show. I so wish I could have taken pictures of it to share with you all. If you get the to go see it, make sure you do. They aren't going to be releasing a DVD of the show because of copyright issues with the music, so if you don't see it live, you may never get to see it at all.

Anyway, I'm sooo dog tired and I have to work tomorrow... So I'm off to bed. This is the official beginning of my crazy Halloween prep week, so make sure you're getting your costumes ready to rock... I've got all kinds of cool surprises at this years party so I hope to see you all there!

Well, we are heading out to Vegas in the morning. A weekend of parties and fun and.... The Cirque De Soleil LOVE show. I'm SOOOO excited. I haven't been to Vegas since I was a little kid, so this will be my first time as an adult. I plan on drinking, dancing, and eating... and, maybe blowing $2 in a slot machine. (I find gambling to be pretty boring...) But I'm super excited just to be going. I only wish Elvis was gonna be there too...

Girls Night Out...

Last Night was SO MUCH FUN! and my first foray in to costume wearing this Halloween Season. My dear friends Gillian, Megan and Joe took me out with them. We went to a female illusionist show at BJ's and then to a Midnight showing of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. (that was just a WONDERFUL movie.) The audience sang along to every song and booed the villain and appluaded the heroine. It was such an awesome night. Plus, I coined a phrase for my new outfit! Techno Evita! (imagine Don't Cry For Me Argentina with Techno Jellybean Benitez remix)

And, I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. I'm so hard core! (and I was cracked out on sugar-free redbull for most of the night.) I 'm sure I sounded like a chipmunk or those mice in Cinderella. So, thanks to Gillian and Megan and Joe for letting me be their high-pitched sidekick! ;) Princess Bride here we come!!!!

It's coming along....

Well folks, all my free time has been spent in preparation for Halloween. Tim's Mr. Tumnus Costume is pretty much finished. I have a few loose ends to tie up with his and then it's complete. Mine is not quite there, but I've got the wig and crown done and am almost halfway done with the dress and cape.

I told you I'd be spare around here for this month, and of course it doesn't help that I was sick for a few days. I'm feeling better now. That achy feeling is gone, I'm still a little low on energy, but I'm sure I'll be feeling normal soon.

I had to go see Dr. Chad (the magic hands) to get my back and neck adjusted today. I foolishy attempted to get inside a giant planter we had at work for one of our projects. I didn't attempt it, I mean, I did fit. I was very pleased with myself until I got stuck and tweaked my neck trying to get out of it. :) Dr. Chad had a hey-day with that one. I'm SO mature!

Anyhoo, gotta go do laundry and get back on the costume tip. SO much to do, so little time! 

ugh...

I think I'm dying. *slight exaggeration* I feel AWFUL. The kind of achy that makes me miss my Mom and how she'd put a cool wash cloth on my head and bring me grape juice. I'm going to go lie on the couch now and shiver the night away. If you're in the neighborhood, bring me some grape juice.

I don't remember having this picture taken, but I do remember that look you can see on my face. That, my friends, is the holiday ga-ga. It started young, and it still reigns supreme. It almost convinced me to buy Christmas cards the other day. Damnit Erin! One holiday at a time!!!! 

stuff and nonsense...

Well, my big debut filming for the History Channel went well. I didn't flail or vomit, so right there, I was feeling pretty good. I'm hugely relieved to be done with filming though. The anticipation was making me twitchy. I mean, more twitchy than I am usually. I started the day by sweating profusely and blushing uncontrollably. But later on I pretty much mellowed out and I think I ended up looking relatively normal.

The show will air on December 20th at 9pm central time. And since I can't seem to figure out my VCR, I'd appreciate it if someone could tape the show and send it to my parents. They don't have cable. I mean, they COULD have cable, but they are against that kind of thing. Well, that and caller ID, and voice mail. Pretty sure they're the last folks on the planet who still have an answering machine. My little brother doesn't know any better. He calls my voicemail and says," Erin? Are you there? Can you pick up?"... Yeah sonny, 'cept I can't hear you...cause it's voicemail!

So, now that History Channel thing is finished, maybe I can focus more on the things that really matter. Like my halloween costume. My energy level has been low lately. It could be work... I really don't know. I just haven't quite felt like myself lately...Maybe I need to be working out more or something. Anyway, if you are a dear friend and you feel as though I've been neglecting you, don't feel bad. I've been in a bit of a funk. But, there is nothing like a big ass Halloween party to get me back on track.

I haven't gotten very far on costumes yet, but all the decor for my party is ready to rock. (except my evil witch sculpture...) The graveyard is going to be AWESOME this year...and I hope to see you all there!
