Well...

I'm heading out to Portland next Tuesday for my business trip. We have to go out and close this deal and then, I'll get to relax and enjoy the weekend at my parent's house for my sister's wedding. I will be a bridesmaid in her wedding, which should be fun, and I'll get to spend a little time in Portland, which is also super fun.

This week at work has been a little hectic, but it's just because we are changing gears and shifting from selling to manufacturing. A lot of other people in the office are tense because of all that is going on, and I'm really looking forward to my boss coming back. We had a company picnic today to kick off "high-season" and welcome all the new employees. It was really fun and I got to mingle with all the people in the factory who I hadn't really met before. But the best part was that my boss stopped by (she has been out on maternity leave). She has a really empowering effect on me but also calming. I felt so much better knowing that she will be back soon.

I am a little nervous about this trip, but also excited. I really just want to do a good job and make a good impression. I have faith in myself sometimes, but most of the time I just feel nervous. *ugh* Anyway, I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.

Other than that, life is good. Tim has been super busy lately, but we are both thankful to have the extra money to put into savings. We really want to plan a REAL vacation for us to take in the spring. Whether it be Mexico or Europe, who knows, but we really want to have a little extra to treat ourselves before we get serious about this "starting a family" thing.

So, that is the update. Next time I post, it will probably be with pictures of the wedding...

...to start Halloween Preparation. Tim and I's costumes are already under way. Some people choose to keep their costumes a secret. I can't keep secrets period... so why start now? He and I are going as Mr. Tumnus and The White Witch, Respectively.

These are going to be farely elaborate costume choices, so we better figure what party we are going to go to, or if we are going to throw our own. It's all up in the air.

Bob Dylan says modern music is worthless.....

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Bob Dylan says modern recordings sound "atrocious," and even the songs on his new album sounded much better in the studio than on disc.

"I don't know anybody who's made a record that sounds decent in the past twenty years, really," the 65-year-old rocker said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Dylan, who released eight studio albums in that time, returns with his first recording in five years, "Modern Times," next Tuesday.

Noting the music industry's complaints that illegal downloading means people are getting their music for free, he said, "Well, why not? It ain't worth nothing anyway."



"You listen to these modern records, they're atrocious, they have sound all over them," he added. "There's no definition of nothing, no vocal, no nothing, just like ... static."

Dylan said he does his best to fight technology, but it's a losing battle.

"Even these songs probably sounded ten times better in the studio when we recorded 'em. CDs are small. There's no stature to it."

I get to fly out next month on my FIRST business trip with my boss to go meet the client and seal the deal. Well, My good friend Jessie has been in town from Italy this week and we've gotten to hang out a few times in the last couple days. But last night...we did girls night out. (which neither of us has done in a LOOOONG time) We partied so hard and today, feel like I ate a sack of kitty litter and follwed it up with a cement shooter. *ugh* hangover..... But so worth it!

We had a blast... We had dinner at Jax and then cruised over to The Church and rocked out there....and then came home around 1am. I know... it's early, but to be honest, it's a miracle we got home at all! We were so toasted. It's a good thing that cab number is so easy for drunk people to remember...303.777.7777. I vaguely remember typing the 303 followed by a large number of 7's. I must have gotten it right. haha!

So, we just got back from camping all weekend at Rocky Mountain National Park. I'm soooo pooped! Tim climbed his first 14'er yesterday, Gray's Peak, and took some amazing photos.... We are so LUCKY to live in Colorado!

Anyway, he's hurtin' today, but I think he's pretty proud of himself.

So much has been going on here....I guess that's how life goes. Tim has been working a lot, staying busy. I'm trying to get used to this new full time gig. We're attempting to get back in to our routines.

We went climbing this week and both pretty much sucked. With climbing, it really is a use it or lose it kind of scenario. But we still had fun and it was good to be able to spend some time together. Today, we went on a long bike ride with Charleigh down the Cherry Creek Trail which was lots of fun. Denver is such a beautiful city...

Anyway, I've got lots to talk about but I'm just too busy to sit down and write, I promise I'll get back on board with this deal soon. Not that it matters, I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that reads this. :P
