Hello everyone!
Sorry for the recent lack of updates... You know how I am, I get all wrapped up in life and forget I have a website. I do have some news that I would like to share with you. I have recently received orders to go to Iraq. Balad more specifically, and thanks to a really sweet guy I work with, A1C Corey Mullenaux, I won't have to go. He has offered to take my place and deploy with AEF 9. I was hesitant to share the news at first, since it was not set in stone, but my Flight Commander says that it is a sure thing.
I would also like to share the news of the untimely passing of my friend Kristopher Mansfield. He and I hadn't spoken in about 5 months because he had been deployed to Iraq. He got back from his deployment while I was on my honeymoon and two days after his return was struck by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle and tragically died. He was a really funny, nice guy. He used to hang out with Kevin Severson a lot and I can remember a few times just sitting on the patio with them talking about all kinds of stupid stuff... He drove a Volvo station wagon...not the typical car for a young guy in his twenties, but he liked it. I'll miss knowing him.
