Howdy!I spent the better half of the afternoon yesterday making updates to the site and things are definitely starting to look less like they're under construction. I've got a few more pictures to add to the pals page, but I'd say that things are shaping up nicely. You may have noticed my latest splash and the numerous mentions of my Halloween costume....well, Tiffany and I have decided to dress up as Chicago stars Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, respectively.....and my friend Tom is coming out for that week, (hopefully we can con him into being our Billy Flynn...) I'm really excited about it...most of you know that Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday. (Mainly any day where I get to dress up is a good day...) So stay tuned for a page that shows pictures of our costumes, they're shaping up to be quite authentic.....peace,~e

Hola Everybody!Coming off a weekend high....Had a great time on Friday night. Went out with Deanna to Sweet Rockin' Coffee's Open Mike night and hooked up with Dane Strom (who was scoping out the competition) and our super-talented and beautiful friend Sheila Miller. She played a kick-ass set and wowed everyone with her wit and angelic voice. We also met one of Sheila's friends, a young up and coming musician named Dave Preston. This kid is no joke... a really amazing song writer and very good performer. He's only 18 and seems totally comfortable on stage. I bought one of his Cd's and...just....well....it's soooo damn good! Anyway, I might be helping him out with some web stuff, so as soon as he gets his page up and running, I'll post a link. So, on Saturday night I hung out with Mike, Greg, Kenny, Arian and a bunch of other kids...we had a fun night out at some local bar and followed up with drunken hooliganism at Mike and Ivan's new place at AMLI. That apartment complex is soooo nice....I drank too much, smoked too much and ate junk food....so it's to the gym today to work off the weekend debauchery. ;-) I basically spent all of Sunday recovering. I went and chilled out at Dane's new place and listened to Rufus Wainwright's Want One. Intricate production, and heavenly vocals make for a very good effort....it's not as good as Poses, but still very listenable. Apologized to my palate for the junk food with a Penn Street Perk Titanic Panini sandwich...mmmmm. :-) All in all the most pleasant weekend I've had in while. peace,~e

OK! I'm finally back in biznatch. Got my computer back, it's running a little slow, but other than that, it's good. YAY! My new work-out plan is going well, I'm about 10 pounds away from looking not disgusting in my halloween costume! Still no word on orders, I'm getting less optimistic, but I haven't given up hope yet. Been diggin' on John Mayer's latest, pretty much every day. It's called Heavier Things and it is gooood! Also, listen to Dave Matthews new solo effort, you won't be sorry...Ok, so I hate to admit this but last night I watched the Bachelor and I've officially been sucked in. I think Bachelor Bob is soooo cool. He's so much more interesting than all those rich wanks they had on there before. Anyway, enough reality television, let's never mention this again...Also, I've added a poetry page, and I will be adding more pics to the family page...stay tuned....

Dear friends and wandering net strangers,Sorry for the lack of update...The government deemed my really cool super fast XP programing unsecure, so they've taken it back to their "workshop" to baseline it and add windows 2000. So, I've been relegated to using my troops computer which is slow and doesn't even have the right programs loaded on it....(How do these guys get anything done around here anyway?) Lots of exciting business going on around here. Acutally not that much really, since Tim and I parted ways, I have so much free time I hardly know what to do with myself. Last night the weather outside was scary, so I hung out and watched a little television, and then pulled out my guitar and some old songs...(Ween's "Baby Bitch" is SOOOOO much fun to play....) and then talked to some friends back home. I am starting to feel homesick and I'm contemplating going home for Christmas this year....who knows though...Christmas at home is always a double-edged sword for me....I guess what I really crave is having a Christmas with people I really care about and I've never managed to have a boyfriend around the holidays, something about the fall really brings my fear of commitment to the surface. ;-) But Colorado is such a great place for Christmas, and lots of friends are promising to visit me, so I might just hang out here. I'd like to send a shout out to my friend Melissa, she's had a run of bad luck lately and so I'm sending out good vibes to her and David. *vibe vibe vibe*love to you all,~e

Well, the good news is today the government preventatively assessed my health and all is well as far as we know. Next time I'll have to have another HIV test. I always get scared whenever that time rolls around. I mean the possibilities are low, but the outcome is so scary to think about. Anyway, slow news day. My stomach kinda hurts, but that's probably because the only thing I've eaten today was a handful of fries and a blow-pop. aaaaah. blow-pops, the breakfast of champions. so the moral of this story is....um....I'm bored. I got an e-mail from Echo today...sounds like Belgium is really great and hopefully pictures are to follow.

Well, Johnny Cash died last night... I can't really express how sad this makes me...even though in some way I expected it would happen soon after June Carter died. All I can say is that the earliest musical memories I have in my life are of him and Willie Nelson. I remember seeing a record my Dad had, it was called "The Man In Black". I remember listening to his voice and wondering why he talked in his songs instead of singing....and why didn't my mother like him. It wasn't until I was much older that the legacy left by my father in the formof Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson felt ingrained in my history.I can't ever hear either of them without remembering my Father's long legs stretched across our couch, guitar resting on his stomach and his voice singing out...making me think he must have come from cowboys. And that's who Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson played for...Men like my Father who made their living working the same way men had since the dawn of time. Cowboys, Coal Miners, Farmers, and even Fisherman...all trying to wrestle a living from the earth. So, now....one of those men has returned to the earth and will always be remembered and honored in the memories enveloped by his songs.

I just updated pals page with new pictures from my end of summer party.CLICK HERE to view them. If you look at the bottom of the pals photo gallery, I've also added more pictures from Oregon. I'm in the process of doing up a redesign for my splash and header to reflect the new fall season....same color scheme, but maybe more black. Gotta be all spooky for halloween. ;-)
